The $30 BAO Consumer Protection Fee is included in all services. All charges are subject to HST.
Cremated remains will be presented in a cardboard container that is suitable for interment or scattering. The price of cremation above includes this container. When the cremation is complete, the cremated remains will be returned to the appropriate agent of the crematorium. Southwest Crematoriums Ltd. does not hold cremated remains indefinitely or charge a refundable deposit.
Our typical turnaround time is 3 to 5 business days. Expedited Cremation is available for an additional fee as described above. Expedited timeframes are based on delivery of the recipient, along with all required documentation, to the cremation location.
Witness Cremations are available at certain Southwest locations. Each facility is unique and has different limits on the safe number of attendees. A witness session is normally 10–15 minutes and allows the family to be present when the casket is placed into the retort. Once the cremation has been started, the family departs the facility.
No cremation will take place until all applicable charges are paid, or a suitable arrangement is made with the agent of the Crematorium.
Pre-payment in Advance of Need
For services arranged pre-need, you may pay for the services at today’s price and we will place your money in a trust account, where it will accrue interest until the prepaid contract is fulfilled when the services are delivered. Pre-payment can be made by pre-authorized debit or by credit card. Funds are held in the purchaser’s name.
